Jackie Wayne Bowl

What an exciting time in the SEC right now. Fresh off a stirring rendition of the first ever Hootie Bowl, the conference throws the first playing of the Jackie Wayne Bowl THE VERY NEXT WEEK. Truly a treat for everyone.
The Mississippi State athletic department would have you believe that this game should be about remembering the 2000 Independence Bowl (WITH another hashtag from Hashtag U - #SNOWBOWL12), which makes them the first school in the history of college football to ever want to voluntarily remember that time they spent in Shreveport. WHAT A NEW YEAR'S EVE IT WAS.
Instead, this game should be about the man who brought consistent winning back to both programs before crippling both of them with NCAA sanctions through a plethora of rules violations. And in the case of Mississippi State, he was allowed to remain employed long enough to completely destroy what he built (A&M forced him to resign before he got the chance to put the flames to College Station).
So, when you're hearing all of this inexplicable Snow Bowl recognition this weekend, remember who really should be honored. Jackie Wayne Sherrill: The Savior and The Destroyer.
Oh, also, Billy Brewer would like to add "Prince of Darkness."
